Racknine’s “political superweapon”
While the CEO of RackNine, Matt Meier, claims that his firm is
“non-partisan”, it seems the only federal party they have done business
with is the Conservative Party of Canada.
Mr. Meier’s is well connected to the Ottawa Conservatives. He was even one of those selected to greet Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s campaign plane in 2008.
At the 2011 Conservative convention, his company hosted a hospitality suite and rented a convention stand.
And in late 2010, just months before an expected federal election, Mr. Meier posted a photo on Facebook of new technology he had just acquired for RackNine with the caption: “adding final servers for political superweapon”.
This Conservative-friendly “superweapon” could process “10 million or more” calls.
Nine Conservative campaigns, including the Prime Minister’s own riding, have now been linked to this firm.
